Uber Exec Ratings Have Increased - Here's What You Need to Know

Uber's raising the bar on Comfort, Exec and Lux - and if you're driving one of these tiers, that's good news. It means more recognition for the drivers who already deliver a great ride, and a clearer path for others to get there.

What's changing

For Exec and Lux, the rating benchmark is moving up to 4.92, with 50 completed trips as a new milestone before stepping up to these tiers - a way of making sure drivers arrive ready to give riders the premium experience they're paying for. Comfort drivers will need Uber Pro Gold status or above, rewarding the consistency you've already been building toward.

Across all three tiers, there's some quick training and an in-app assessment to complete, plus updated terms to sign off on - a nice chance to sharpen up and make sure everyone's on the same page.

Exec and Lux drivers are also getting a new feedback framework built on genuine rider input about vehicle condition and presentation. It's designed to protect the reputation of these top-tier products - and by extension, the drivers who consistently get it right.

When it's happening

Uber starts reaching out from 7 September, giving you until 7 October to get everything in place - training, T&Cs, ratings and trips. From there, it all comes into effect, kicking off with a London pilot.

Our advice? Get ahead of it early - check your current rating and trip count if you're on Exec or Lux, or your Uber Pro status if you're on Comfort. A few minutes now sets you up nicely for what's next.
