Splend offers two flexible vehicle plans to suit your needs. Our flagship plan, Flexi Own, allows you to work towards car ownership while benefiting from all the inclusions necessary for a hassle-free experience. If you aren’t too sure about which vehicle to select, our Flexi Try option lets you try out one of our vehicles first! Flexi Try gives you the peace of mind to do a real situational long term test drive with the ability to switch between available vehicles. This service supports you in making the right decision when you’re ready to upgrade to our ownership plans.

Whichever option you choose, Splend covers everything you need for hassle-free PCO driving, including PHV licence, PHV loss and damage cover, car tax and MOT, servicing, maintenance and more.

Getting started with Splend is very easy and straightforward. First, fill in the enquiry form on our website. Then, one of our team members will contact you to understand your needs and provide you our expert advice on the latest products perfect for PCO driving. You’ll then be invited to book an appointment at our Hub, where you can test drive the car and finalise the sign-up process. Once that’s done, you can pick up your car and start enjoying hassle-free driving from day one.

To sign up, you’ll need a copy of your driver’s licence with your current address or change of address sticker, your passport/birth certificate or citizenship certificate.

We understand that costs are a crucial factor for PCO drivers, which is why Splend offers transparent pricing and all-inclusive packages that aim to be cheaper than you would get organising the buying, financing and owning costs yourself. Why bother having to worry about negotiating with a dealership, determining the right finance, getting quotes for multiple damage and loss rates and then having to worry about getting the best price at each maintenance visit when Splend negotiates these rates for you.

Our weekly payments include all your car expenses such as PHV licence, loss and damage cover, servicing and maintenance. This is certainly more convenient than managing everything yourself. There's also a one-off signup fee to get started in securing and ordering your chosen vehicle.

Here’s a full run-down of costs for our Flexi Own Agreement.

• Up-front:

  • One-off setup fee of £499 for new cars and £299 for pre-owned cars

• At onboarding:

  • Pro-rata charge for remainder of first week

  • First weekly fee (billed one week in advance)

• Weekly fee includes:

  • Vehicle rental

  • Registration

  • Expensive Car Tax

  • Private Hire Vehicle License Fee

  • Ministry of Transport Fee

  • Scheduled servicing (up to 120,000 miles)*

  • Replacement tyres & brakes due to wear*

  • Unlimited KMs¹

• Optional extras:

  • Payout Protection Fee may apply (see Additional Fees for more details)

  • Loss and Damage cover (and optional replacement vehicle inclusion). Additional charges may occur if Loss and Damage cover taken out for driving >1,000km per week^

  • Loss and Damage Waiver Reduction Fee (reduces payable Loss and Damage Waiver in the event of an accident – see Additional Fees for more details)

• Not included:

  • Fuel/charging, rideshare platform fees, tolls, fines and other fees and charges.

Our weekly fee is subject to additional fees for unpaid PCNs and unpaid Splend invoices. To avoid these charges, we recommend setting up a debit card and setting up a road toll account.

We can onboard you the same day you apply provided you’re an approved PCO driver with all the required documents ready (including your damage and loss checks approved), and your preferred car is available and you have had a chance to thoroughly review all necessary contractual documentation (and sought independent legal advice, if required).

If you have ordered a brand-new vehicle, depending on the car chosen there may be a wait time, though we will advise you at the time of signing up. In the event of a wait, we can place you in a temporary Flexi Try vehicle, so you can start earning straight away, and then exchange on the day your car arrives.

While the car is provided for business use, the car is yours to use 24/7, predominantly for your PCO business and incidentally for personal use. If you want to drive the car on a road trip (or any extended usage), please contact our customer support team to discuss your arrangements. Please note that our insurance does not allow the car to be driven outside of England
